The Church sponsors a Courtyard Food Pantry for the homeless and those who have an emergency need. We are asking you to consider donating to this Pantry as the need is great and we are struggling to meet that need.
Donations should be non-perishable and be geared toward the homeless and people who do not have access to can openers or have ways to heat up items. Items needed are: canned meals and meats with pop-top lids, crackers, cereal and nutrition bars, pots of fruits and applesauce, envelopes of tuna, individual portions of peanut butter, protein drinks and bottles of water. Many of these types of items can be found at Dollar Tree and Dollar General.
If you prefer that we do the shopping, monetary donations made out to UCC, Fed. with the direction that it goes to the Courtyard Food Pantry are gratefully accepted.
We would like to thank our Outreach Committee and the Golden Bees for their faithfulness in providing items for the pantry but also trying keeping the pantry stocked with food and sleeping bags.

Needs of our Sleeping Bag Ministry
Our Golden Bees are hard at work making sleeping bags for those in need. Due to not being able to fundraise due to Covid, they are in need of items for the health kits which accompany each sleeping bag. If you are able to help:
These health kits contain a washcloth, hand towel, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, bandaids, bible or inspirational book plus extra items such as shampoo, hand lotion, tissues (small package), etc. A hat, scarf, mittens or gloves are also included with the sleeping bags.
All items for the health kits are welcome but the items most needed are the toiletries, hand towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, band aids and combs. Ties are also welcome as they are needed to keep the sleeping bags rolled up and closed.
If anyone would like to help, items can be dropped off at United Church of Christ, Federated at 4 Church Street in Webster from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday through Friday. People may feel free to call the church at 508-943-0061 during those times if they have any questions regarding the Sleeping Bag Ministry or this request.
